What is emmett kansas?

Emmett is a small town located in Pottawatomie County, in the northeastern part of the state of Kansas, United States. It is situated approximately 11 miles northeast of the city of St. Marys and 22 miles north of the city of Manhattan.

As of the 2010 census, the population of Emmett was 190. The town covers an area of 0.20 square miles and is situated at an elevation of 1,058 feet above sea level.

Emmett has a post office, a volunteer fire department, and a small community park. The nearest hospital is the Wamego Health Center located in Wamego, which is approximately 15 miles south of Emmett.

The town is primarily residential, with a few small businesses and farming operations in the surrounding area. Agriculture is an important industry in the region, with crops such as corn, wheat, and soybeans grown on the fertile prairie land.

Emmett was founded in the late 1800s and was named after Emmett S. Jackson, a prominent attorney and politician from Kansas. The town was incorporated in 1886.
